Cooperation Alps 2020+, Salzburg

2018 is a critical year in the planning of the cohesion policy beyond 2020. Recently, the European Commission has tabled the proposals on the future multi-annual financial framework. Furthermore legislative proposals for cohesion policy 2020+ have been presented. The draft regulations call for a strengthened strategic orientation of ESIF-programmes and a better alignment of these programmes with existing macro-regional strategies.

The Interreg Alpine Space programme is organising an event with the aim of commonly identifying main challenges for the Alpine area as regards topics, governance and processes and fostering networks and exchange.

This event will bring together representatives of the ESIF (European Structural and Investement Funds) programmes 2014-2020, of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), of the Alpine Convention and of the European Commission (DG Regio).

The following questions will be discussed:

+ What are the Alpine trends and perspectives for the next years?
+ How can we facilitate cooperation and alignment among ESIF programmes in the Alpine area, as well as with other stakeholders such as EUSALP and Alpine Convention?
+ How can cooperation ideas be turned into action?

For more information, have a look at the event programme available below.

Please note that this event is on invitation only.
